Our story starts with a kitchen table
It began the way many good things do — around a kitchen table, with flour on your hands and a story to tell. In El Salvador, making pupusas is never just a chore. It's a conversation, a rhythm passed down from mother to daughter, from abuela to grandchild.
When we moved to Blacksburg, we missed those mornings. So we brought them with us. We set up our griddle, gathered the ingredients, and started pressing. Word spread. Neighbors stopped by. And soon, Pupuseria Mari became more than a restaurant — it became a gathering place for anyone who wants to share a warm meal and feel at home.
That's the promise we make every day: real food, made the old way, served with genuine warmth.
